John F. Studdard was a founding member of the popular Hiwassee Ridge bluegrass band. He was a member of the Etowah Arts Commission and Founder/Coordinator of the Cousin Jake Memorial Bluegrass Festival. His love of bluegrass was well-known through his assistance with other bluegrass events throughout the region. ( May 11, 1949 – Dec. 20, 2008 )
