Mr. Cook has been a painter for over 30 years and recently moved to Englewood from Canon, GA. His exhibition includes several large paintings, ranging from four to six feet in size. His works contain a vibrancy which reflects the life and world about him, in both abstract and realistic style. These pieces encourage the viewer to engage with art personally, interpreting each canvas as an individual.

As a muralist, Mr. Cook’s art served his Canon, GA community in many, often unexpected ways. School murals teach students about animal and plant life in different terrains around the world. Downtown paintings offer interest and hope to closed storefronts. Carousel horses, when painted on a park’s silo, inspire a playground. Visitors may view photos of these and other community art projects as well as read collected artist statements for each of the exhibited pieces.
