Current Exhibit – The Best of the Overhill Shutterbugs

Posted on Jan 8, 2016

The Etowah Arts Commission (EAC) announces its current exhibit “THE BEST OF THE OVERHILL SHUTTEBUGS PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB” from December 11, 2015 through February 26, 2016, in the Nancy Cantrell Dender Gallery, 700 Tennessee Avenue, Etowah, Tennessee.

The Overhill Shutterbugs is an informal photography club that generally meets once a month to critique each other’s work and to study the technical aspects of photography together. There are occasional member-driven challenges, monthly themes, and workshops with outside instructors. The only requirement to participate in the Shutterbugs club is an interest in the art of photography. Meetings are generally the second Tuesday of the month and take place at the Etowah Arts Commission office.

The current exhibit featuring images by the eleven members of the Shutterbugs, showcases a variety of technique, subject matter, and level of accomplishment. Everything from crisp landscapes to lens manipulated abstracts to close ups of the natural world to candid portraits are included in the exhibit.

The public is invited to meet the artists at an opening reception on January 21, 2016, from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served and the event is free.
